Phosgene Safety

Phosgene is a common chemical intermediate utilized in the synthesis of numerous chemical intermediates used to produce pharmaceutical active ingredients, monomers for various polymers, pesticides, herbicides and other specialty chemicals. 

Phosgene is toxic and exposure in the workplace should be stringently avoided.  Over exposure can be fatal.
